  • Obtained voluntary dismissal in equine negligence suit brought by trainer against horse owner prior to hearing on our Motion for Summary Judgment.
  • Won breach of contract lawsuit on Motion to Dismiss brought by lawn maintenance company against School District and three individual employees.
  • Won appeal as Appellee/Cross-Appellant of deficiency decree that was improperly reduced by $200,000.00 by the trial court.  McCollem v. Chidnese, 832 So. 2d 194 (Fla. 4th DCA 2002)
  • Won appeal as Appellee at the 11th Circuit Court of Appeal based upon verdict in favor of School District on failure to hire reverse discrimination claim. Martin Vann v. School District of Palm Beach County, 45 Fed.Appx. 876 (11th Circuit 2002)
  • Obtained dismissal of premature appeal in the 4th DCA.  Defendant had improperly appealed a denial of defendant’s motion for summary judgment.
  • Conducted various employment-related seminars for private and public employers, including non-profit organizations.  Topics included the Fair Labor Standards Act (overtime issues) and anti-harassment and sensitivity training.
  • Obtained dismissal of action with prejudice for plaintiff’s failure to prosecute tortious interference claim against municipality and for failure to provide proper notice of suit under Florida Statute Section 768.28.  
  • Drafted fireworks ordinance for municipality.
  • Drafted and edited Employment Handbooks and Personnel Policies for corporate, non-profit, and governmental clients.
  • Successfully defended several unemployment compensation claims including those against a private company in the equine industry and government clients.
  • Won appeal as Appellant of adverse jury verdict based upon new cause of action entitled tortious interference with parent-child relationship.  Brown v. Brown, 800 So. 2d 359 (Fla. 4th DCA 2001).
  • Recently awarded with the 2007 Human Resources Professional of the Year Award presented by the Human Resources of Palm Beach County.
