Amelia Jadoo

Amelia N. Jadoo joined the Firm in 2024 after serving as a municipal attorney at a local law firm where she advised government entities on a variety of legal issues for two years.

At the Firm, Ms. Jadoo continues to serve as legal counsel for municipalities advising them on issues relating to the Sunshine Laws, Public Records Act, ethics, and other day-to-day governance matters. Ms. Jadoo represents elected officials and committee members during public meetings; analyzes, drafts, and negotiates contracts; drafts resolutions and ordinances; and approves agenda items. She effectively counsels her clients to avoid and mitigate litigation risks, and works closely with her clients to navigate emerging legal issues. Ms. Jadoo is an effective problem-solver who is passionate about approaching her client’s needs in an ethical, efficient and collaborative manner.

Prior to relocating to Florida, Ms. Jadoo served as an Assistant County Attorney for Dakota County in Minnesota. In this role, she advised the County and its various departments and elected officials on a wide variety of legal issues related to data privacy, cybersecurity, corrections, employment, eminent domain/condemnation, collections, contracts, risk management, law enforcement, and other matters.

Prior to her work for Dakota County, Ms. Jadoo was an associate in the business litigation division of a large Minnesota law firm after serving as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Justice Sam Hanson on the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Education:

Ms. Jadoo earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Hamline University, cum laude, double majoring in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice, and double minoring in Spanish and Sociology.

Ms. Jadoo earned her Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law). She obtained a Cybersecurity and Privacy Law Certificate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2020. Her active and inactive admissions include the following:

    Active in the Palm Beach County community also, Ms. Jadoo is an Alumni of Leadership Palm Beach County Engage Class of 2024, on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association For Women Lawyers, Palm Beach Chapter, an active member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association holding various leadership positions, and a member of the Local Professionalism Panel for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit.
