Counseling The Firm provides advice and counsel regarding day-to-day Human Resources matters, including the development of personnel handbooks, policies, and procedures, Fair Labor Standards Act and wage and hour compliance, Family and Medical Leave Act compliance, and assistance with disciplinary, performance, and termination decisions. We also provide advice on preventative employment law practices and conduct training sessions for management and employees regarding harassment prevention, ethics compliance, and best practices.
Litigation and Agency Matters Applying its HR legal experience, the Firm represents clients in state and federal litigation and arbitration, including defending claims of race, age, disability, and gender discrimination and sexual harassment, as well as alleged overtime and wage and hour violations asserted under the Fair Labor Standards Act. We also regularly represent clients before state and federal agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Florida Commission on Human Relations. Our collective experience also includes responding to claims asserted under the Uniform Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) filed with the Department of Labor, Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS).
