Appellate Law

The Firm represents clients in appellate matters in both federal and state appellate courts.  We have written briefs and argued complex issues before the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal and the federal United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. Our cases have involved redefining the joint employer test under Title VII and employment discrimination and harassment issues. We successfully challenged the propriety of corporate reorganization of public hospitals to a private corporation. Additionally, we have prevailed in appeals involving various election issues, including those involving ballot language and the expenditure of public funds by local governments in an election contest. We have been successful in cases brought against local governments challenging procurement awards and the enforcement of code enforcement actions, as well as challenges relating to alleged non-compliance with Florida's Sunshine and public records laws.
