 Ms. Mutamba focuses her practice on representing private and governmental clients with respect to human resources matters. She regularly counsels clients regarding day-to-day human resources issues, including disciplinary and termination decisions and wage and hour compliance. She also has successfully assisted clients in union and collective bargaining negotiations, labor relations compliance, and responding to unfair labor practices charges. Additionally, she defends charges of discrimination filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Florida Commission on Human Relations.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Mutamba served as an Assistant City Attorney where she practiced in the areas of labor and employment and workers’ compensation. While at the City she drafted a variety of human resource policy and procedure, ordinances, and resolutions. Prior to her role at the City, Ms. Mutamba practiced fair housing and consumer rights law for the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc.
In addition to practicing law, Ms. Mutamba has dedicated significant time in advancing the legal profession by serving in various leadership roles with the Florida Bar and she is currently the President of the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association for the 2021-2022 bar year.
Ms. Mutamba is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Education and Background Ms. Mutamba earned her law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, in Human Resources from the University of Akron.
